The New “Second Chance” Exam (2026)

In a significant policy shift under the National Education Policy (NEP), MPBSE has replaced supplementary exams with a “Second Chance” examination.

  • Exam Dates: Beginning May 7, 2026

  • Eligibility: Students who failed, were absent, or wish to improve their scores can reappear.

  • Benefit: The higher score obtained between the two attempts will be considered in the final marksheet, saving students an entire academic year.

Chief Minister Yadav assured, “The aim is to save a year for students and provide them with flexibility. If students feel that their marks are not satisfactory, they now have the option to reappear for the exam and improve their scores.”
