Who will be Agniveer?

The age limit for the recruitment to the Agnipath scheme is 17 years, 6 months and 21 months.

This will be an annual package -

The government has announced a pension scheme for firefighters which will provide them a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 for the first year and Rs 4.76 lakh for the first year.

These allowances will be in addition to the package - 

There will be some allowances with the annual package including risk and hardship, Ration, The benefits include full pay and interest of non-service period on disablement during service, exemption from income tax to 'service fund', Agnivir not entitled to gratuity and pension benefits, and Rs 48 lakh non-contributory life insurance cover for the veterans for their tenure in the Indian Armed Forces.

Certificates will be issued after the completion of the training -

During this period of service to the nation, Various military skills and experience to firefighters, Discipline, Physical fitness, Leadership quality, Courage and patriotism will be imparted. After four years of tenure, The Agnivirs will be incorporated in the civil society where they can contribute to the process of nation building.Each skill acquired by Agnivir will be given a certificate to be part of its unique biodata.
